Help needed!!

Postby Red_Paul052 » Mon Jul 26, 2010 8:50 pm

hello all,

Well its official after an accident in the kitchen involving some vegetable oil and a frying pan I've been left with 2nd degree burns on 5% of my right arm. This as you can imagine was very painful at the time, it is now not painful but the skin has blistered and has started to itch.
I'm currently bandage up which offers some protection against knocking the burns but is not perfect, so this brings me around to the reason for this post I'm looking for some armour for my right arm it needs to cover as much of the arm as possible but obviusly still allows me to ride.
I'm hoping someone will have something they no longer use and and wish to donate it to me :D but if that's not possible as cheap as possible :D

I hope you can help.
Cheers
Paul

Paul, a lot of arm armour involves "PULLING " them on :o I would have thought that not falling off would be the best answer

I realise that not falling off is the best way forward but this is me we're talking about  As for pulling them on i realise there is going to be some strapping but i'm going to have to be rather inventive with my padding

Paul

How far up the arm is the burn? I have some elbow and forearm armour that doesn't require it pulled on, but it doen't go all the way to the wrist.

Let me know if this is any good to you.

I have several patches in various sizes but they start about half way between the wrist and elbow and end half way between the elbow and shoulder.

So the armour you have might actually work!! Any chance i could have a look and try it out on a ride?

some 661 vegi gear can be used without using the sleeve section and just using straps so may be worth a look
other option i used after having soft tissue on knee after surgury was bandage it befor u pull on the pads prevents the rubbing effect.
