Hi Steve,

Can I ask what time the 75km will start on Saturday? Just planning what to do re travelling. Do you think the conditions will merit mud tyres could the weekend as well!

Cheers,

Chris

Does anyone want a lift off me?

I'm just planning on going up for the saturday, doing the 75. Timing wise, depending on when the start time is I'd ideally aim to get there for 30-45 mins before the start, allow time to sign on/faff etc.

I'll be out the country from tomorrow afternoon till friday eve, so if you want a lift that's fine - just post here and tell me when and where to fetch you! I'll try and keep an eye on here, but might not be able to check till friday eve. Up to 2 folk can have a lift.

Ahah, from: http://www.heavenofthesouth.co.uk/whats-on/

Registration open from 8-9am.
50 & 75km rides start at 9.30am.

Reckon I'll aim to be there 0830ish.

Doh. Looks like I checked every page except that one!

May I sign up for a possible return lift please Iain? I have some friends coming down for the event so my transport over should be sorted, but they may shoot off after finishing (depending on weather).

Sure thing. You not camping then?

1 space left then (unless you just want a lift there)

I'm fully prepared/planned to camp, but I have a wedding to get to on Sunday afternoon so wouldn't be able to loiter if I do. If my mates decide not to stay my aim will be to get back to Bristol with the next available lift :)

Would suggest mud tyres as some parts will be a "little damp" and through the quarry section you will want maximum grip.
Wrist bands will be given at signing on so we can see who is camping and who is isn't. Riders briefing will be done around 9.15ish with all riders leaving the site at the same time at 9.30, they will be led out by a support vehicle to make sure we have no problems with any drivers.
You make the decision of which route you take at the second feed station where the split is, the 75km has just under 2,000 metres of climbing.
Look forward to seeing you all on Friday/Saturday
Steve

Hi,

Who is camping this weekend? Weather permitting, I am almost decided to stay both nights.

Does anyone need a lift? (leaving early evening from Eastville/ Ashley Down area).

I'm bailing on camping - caught a proper cold this week so I'll be half-dead after 75km!

Has anyone managed to download the route? I can't get the link on the email to work.
